Andrew needs to find what the Nov convention’s theme is and the shirt color will be chosen by officers. Burgundy shirt with white lettering was decided upon with the 1st motion by Andrew and 2nd motion by Angela.
Trick or treat for UNICEF discussed on whether we would collaborate with key club but decided against it.
Latin Club Mixer discussed as well as first meeting for the full Latin Club. Date for 1st meeting was set for Tues Sept. 23 (2:35-3:15) and Mixer date will either be first week in October or the week before.
We are missing an officer the idila (I don’t know how it is spelled)aka the social event person and the officers will have the first opportunity to apply for the position.
Dues both state and national are scheduled to be due Nov. 3 and are $10 per person so the Latin club can make a little extra money 1st motion to accept due date for dues Andrew and 2nd motion Ashlee with all in favor. It is decided that Ashlee will explain dues to the rest of club on Sept. 23.
Discussed how we will collect dues for spring convention, that is will we have people pay ahead in increments or not. Ashlee and Angela discuss complications because money can’t be returned but can be rolled over. Possible fundraisers for spring convention is a bake sale and hat day
Refreshments for Sept. 23 are quickly discussed. Some ideas are Hawaiian punch (cups), smart food popcorn and Caleb rattled off a list that isn’t recorded.
Laura is confronted about switching to idela and Angela dismisses us at 8:07.
